Sex is never the point.
It’s the catalyst.
It’s the moment something you want begins to cost you —
clarity, control, the image of yourself you were maintaining.
FAQ
We’re aiming for the end of summer 2026.
No, we are fully independent and self-funded (no venture capital and no big-five backing). The downside of that is we are quite small, so please be patient with us as we find our sea legs.
Somewhere between a 4 or 5 out of 5. Our novellas contain multiple, open-door sex scenes. Expect the equivalent of NC-17, not R-rated.
Some titles will feature cis-male and female pairings and others will feature queer characters. Check out individual book blurbs for details on the characters in each book.
We publish literary erotica, not romance, so we don’t adhere to all of the tropes and conventions you might expect of a romance novella. We tend to prefer stories that end on a happy note, but happily ever after isn’t guaranteed.
Out of respect for those who want to 100% avoid supporting companies who use AI, we’d like to flag that we use the integrated AI tools in our project management software, and we use AI to assist in our marketing.
We endeavor to hire real artists, and our final cover art will be fully designed by humans (mockups may use AI placeholders while we await the final artwork). We’ve partnered with human artists to illustrate the postcards we’ll be sending out with the Deluxe version of our titles.
We publish stories that speak to human emotions, human bodies, and human experiences. The stories and characters are original and line edited with care. That being said (and knowing this is a controversial opinion), we don’t mind if an author uses AI tools to assist in the writing process.
Once we work out the kinks in our process and figure out what kinds of advances we can offer authors based on the sales of our first few titles, we’ll open to submissions. Agents are optional. Please see the submissions page for more details.
Absolutely not. Things have gotten out of hand in the publishing industry with authors being expected to do their own marketing, build and maintain websites, and become internet personalities with a content strategy. Marketing is an entirely different skill than writing, and it takes a lot of time (and money). That division of labor is the point of having a publisher.
We also believe in privacy. We don’t expect our authors to have a parasocial relationship with their readers unless they want to. Pen names are welcome.
We believe in privacy for our readers as well: we aren’t going to spam you with marketing emails, and we aren’t going to sell your information to anyone. If you sign up for the newsletter you get the newsletter and that’s it.
